WoW Priest Guide

It’s been my experience that the best way to level up until around level 49 is with the Holy Talent Tree, so this is the priest leveling build you’re going to want to go with:

Levels 10-49 (7/27/3)

Levels 50-80 (Re-Spec Shadow)

Shadow Talent Distribution

Following this, place talents as you desire into shadow.

When you start out in Holy, you’ll be using an attack rotation similar to this:

Smite > Mind Blast > Shadow Word: Pain > Power Word: Shield > Devouring Plague

As you progress into Shadow, it will change over to something more like this:

Power Word: Shield > Vampiric Touch > Mind Blast > Vampiric Embrace > Shadow Word: Pain > Devouring Plague > Mind Flay

Now if after putting all this into practice you find your Priest levelling speed is really lacking, then you might want to have a look into the Team iDemise Leveling Guide. This is what I have used to get my Priest as well as other characters to level 80 in no more than 7-9 days of in-game play time.

This guide is actually a program that will run inside of WoW. It places a giant arrow under your Priest which points you to what you need to do next, be it pick up a quest, finding the quest objectives or turning a series of quests in.. You just follow it and do what it suggests and you automatically level up as fast as possible, it’s pretty cool.

Another thing you’ll notice is a window which gives you a detailed description of the upcoming tasks, so you may see:

Kill 5 Festering Rot for “The Pools of Aggonar Quest” at 53,12
Kill 10 Terrorfiends for “The Heart of Darkness Quest” at 52,53
Turn in The Heart of Darkness Quest to Warp Scryer Kryv
